Özet

Turkey is located in the increasing number of single-parent families statistics. However, studies revealing the perspective of society against these families are not sufficient yet. Based on this deficiency, the study aimed to draw the framework of society’s perspective towards single-parent families and to measure the perception in society. A sacele to us efor this purpose has been researched but not found. For this reason, the questions of the scale prepared by the researcher were sent to 600 people. After the study in which 523 people participated, the society’s attitude towards single-parent families was examined in terms of gender, marital status, and age variables, and whether these variables showed a significant difference in themselves. Accordingly, significant differences were observed in terms of gender variable, marital stats and age variables. According to these results, social, individual solutions are suggested for the social perspective for single-parent families and single-parent families.

Abstract

Türkiye’de tek ebeveynli aile sayısının giderek arttığına dair resmi istatistikler bulunmaktadır. Ancak bu ailelere karşı toplumun bakış açısını ortaya koyan çalışmalar henüz yeterli sayıda değildir. Bu eksiklikten yola çıkarak yapılan çalışmada, tek ebeveyn ailelere yönelik toplumun bakış açısının çerçevesini çizmek ve toplumdaki algıyı ölçmek amaçlanmıştır. Söz konusu amaç doğrultusunda kullanmak üzere bir ölçek araştırılmış ancak bulunamamıştır. Bu sebeple araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan anket formu, 600 kişiye gönderilmiştir. 523 kişinin katıldığı çalışma sonrasında toplumun tek ebeveynli ailelere bakışı, cinsiyet, medeni durum, yaş değişkenleri açısından incelemiş ve bu değişkenlerin kendi içlerinde anlamlı bir farklılık gösterip göstermediğine bakılmıştır. Buna göre cinsiyet değişkeni, medeni durum, yaş değişkenleri açısından anlamlı farklılıklar gözlemlenmiştir. Çıkan bu sonuçlara göre tek ebeveynli ailelere ve tek ebeveynli ailelere yönelik toplumsal bakış açısı için toplumsal, bireysel, kurumsal çözüm öneriler getirilmiştir.
