Abstract


Türkiye’de Meslek Yüksekokullarındaki Makine Programlarının Ders planlarının MAXQDA veri analiz yazılımı ile İçerik Açısından Karşılaştırılması

Vocational schools, as per Article 3 of Higher Education Law (No. 2547), are institutions offering four semesters of training to develop intermediate workforce for specific professions. This study compares the curriculum of machinery-related associate programs in Turkey, specifically at Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, Sakarya Vocational School, Mechanical Metal Technologies, Machine program. In this study, MAXQDA software was used for qualitative data analysis. Data sources included the 2023-2024 YÖK ATLAS database and websites of mechanical education departments at universities. Within the research scope, mandatory and optional courses in Technical and Social Sciences categories were analyzed. In the study, codes and themes have been identified. Later, data distribution was depicted using a word cloud to show code distribution. In the last section, a visualization study of codes and themes was performed, including the creation of a 'code matrix' and a 'hierarchical code-to-code model'. The study comparatively examined the provided education to identify similarities and/or differences.
